Hossein Sameti

Ph.D in Electrical Engineering

In 1994, Hossein Sameti received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada. In 1995, he joined the Computer Engineering Department of Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, and currently serves as an associate professor at this institution. He founded the Speech and Language Processing Lab (SLPL) at the university in 1998 and is actively involved as the supervisor of this lab. His current research interests include speech processing, automatic speech recognition, speech synthesis, speech enhancement, spoken question-answering systems, spoken language understanding, speaker verification, and spoken term detection.
